1. How did CFC begin?

CFC is a club soccer program founded in 2008 to provide serious soccer players with a positive, supportive environment to develop their skills. CFC was started with the belief that the most important thing for a child working toward a successful playing career is to foster a love of the game. By creating a low-cost, professionally-operated organization that focuses on an enjoyment of the game as well as tactical and technical development, we are building the players of tomorrow. More important, CFC is as focused on building good people as we are building good soccer players.

  2. What is projected for the 2017-2018 season?

Since 2008, CFC has grown exponentially. We expect 2017-2018 to be a year of more significant expansion. This expansion will bring with it not only more teams but also a staff of coaches with significant high school and college coaching and playing experience. As of the time of tryouts, we are finalizing our list of coach placements. Players will be notified of coaching decisions as soon as the placements are confirmed. Our coaching staff will continue to work with our director of coaching to improve the quality of training sessions during the upcoming season.

  3. What is my child’s soccer age?

To determine your child’s age group, please use the calculator on the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association website

  4. Is my child guaranteed to make a team?

Unfortunately, no they are not. Due to the competitive, non-recreational nature of league and tournament play, it is possible that we may not be able to place all players that try out on a team for the 2017-2018 season. CFC will offer player development options and academies throughout the year. Players that do not earn a spot on a team will have opportunities to attend these developmental programs.

  5. When will we be notified of the placement decision?

Players will be notified of team placement during the week of June 13th.

  6. What is the player tuition for the 2017-2018 season? What is included?

The tuition for the 2017-2018 season will be $975.00 per player. Please note that program tuition does not include the uniform package, which is approximately $150.00. CFC boasts the most player-friendly tuition in the area without a sacrifice of quality. Tuition covers the cost of NSL league play, at least two training sessions per week, specialty training sessions, two tournaments, and indoor training.

  7. What comes next?

After players receive notice of team placement, they will need to complete registration and payment. The forms completed at tryouts will serve as official registration for players making teams or choosing academy assignment. Players will receive detailed instructions to complete registration and submit payment shortly after notification. Coaches will contact players with a detailed outline for the soccer year, including dates of interest, once registration and payment are complete. Training for all players will begin in July or early August. Game play begins around Labor Day.
